School Uniform for grades TK-5: Green Golden Hill polo or t-shirt, and khaki bottoms.
School Uniform for grades 6-8: Green or black Golden Hill polo or t-shirt, with any bottoms, as long as they follow the guidelines listed below:
Dress Code Policy
The Golden Hill K-8 School dress code helps to ensure professionalism, safety, and simplicity.
The dress code is as follows:
TK-5:
- Green Golden Hill polo or t-shirt, or blank green shirt, and khaki bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts).
Middle School:
- Black or green Golden Hill polo or t-shirt
- PE attire is required for all middle school students.
Golden Hill PE shirt, or any plain white or gray t-shirt
Golden Hill PE shorts, or any black shorts or sweatpants
- Shoes that are appropriate for running and other physical activities
- Uniforms are available in the PTO room and with the P.E. teacher
Failure to suit up daily for PE will negatively affect students’ citizenship grade for PE.
Other Dress Code Information:
- Clothing advertising or promoting alcohol or drugs is prohibited
- Clothing cannot be too ripped.
- Hats and hoods may be worn outside only. (Hats are acceptable for protective sun wear)
- Students are encouraged to not wear their hoodies during school hours
- Bandanas are not allowed to be worn inside or outside.
- Closed toe shoes that are appropriate for P.E. and playground.
- Bottoms must not be “sagging”.
- Shorts and skirts must be mid-thigh or longer, and should be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee.
- Students who come to school out of dress code will be given uniform clothing to wear for the day. Please return the clothing at the end of the school day. If a family needs assistance in purchasing school uniforms, please contact the principal and they will assist you. If you wish to opt your child out of wearing the school uniform, please contact the principal (619-236-5600). Note that your child will still need to attend school in appropriate attire.
